"You would think Kelly Flowers is a magician, the way he performs "magic" on our horses. But it's not magic. Kelly is a highly trained professional who has an innate ability to soften your horse's muscles and mind. That's my bay mare Maggie above- the one with her eyes rolled back in her head and her tongue hanging out! Boy did he help her sore back and stiff hocks.
When my new guy was a little sore, I said "good luck", men aren't his favorite people. By the time I got there Kelly and he were bonding; by day two, he was pleading with Kelly to rub certain spots...Now, he is quite indignant if Kelly is in the barn and it is not his turn! ...he was 100% within a matter of a few sessions.
Use your traditional modalities on your horse, and include Kelly if you want total improvement. Your horse will love you even more; don't be jealous if they throw you over when they hear Kelly's car. Be happy knowing you're treating your horse the way you'd like to treat yourself, by a caring and competent professional. Jody Swimmer Louisville, KY.
My horse,Haskell, has all kinds of things to tell me. Unfortunately, I can't read his mind. I rely on Kelly to help me understand what is going on with Haskell's body. Kelly gives me feedback about my horse, and sometimes specific exercises, that I incorporate into my training program. I consider the work that Kelly does preventative healthcare for Haskell. LeAnn Ross, (Aurora Farms-Shelbyville Ky)
I am so delighted that you will stay on and work with horses not humans. No one can do what you do! I am so very grateful for all you do to help my aging population of equine companions. Eleanor Bingham Miller, (Harrod's Creek Farm)
Trueman was a different horse after your session. I think the work you're doing with him is very significant. Sometimes I think he gets more from that than from the rest of his training! Let's keep it up! Betsy Whittemore (Big Springs Farm-Simpsonville, Ky)
Your professionalism, expertise, sensitivity, and friendship is so very much appreciated!!! Thank you for what you do so well!!! Deidre Jones (Stoneplace Stables-Prospect, Ky)
Thanks are inadequate right now to express my gratitude towards you for managing Skater's recovery process and overall emotional and mental health since September. I have no doubt that your visits not only allowed and augmented his physical healing but that you also did wonders for his attitude! I know how I feel after a massage and I fully believe in the therapeutic effects of this treatment for humans AND horses! Betsy Gibbs (Valley View Farm-Crestwood,Ky)
Thank you for all your time and concern you put into my horses. You truly care about your four-legged patients because it shows in your work. I value your opinion and skills. We are all grateful for you- human and equine. Julie Foley (Land's End Farm-Goshen,Ky)
After your initial evaluation and treatment on Saint my next ride "felt great". "I don't think I have ever ridden him when he didn't grab the bit and run. I rode him for about 20 min and the entire time he was in a frame, which for him is unheard of. I asked him to canter and the best part was he never took off like he normally does, he just cantered around like an old guy, which blew me away. The great thing about this was, normally when I trot him from a canter it's a full out battle b/c the entire time he is dragging me and trying to run back into the canter, but this time he was so slow he broke to the walk several times." Lauren Sappenfield (Wanaja Farms-Goshen, Ky)
